About Us
Nigerian Canadian Associations
The Nigerian Canadian Associations (NCA) is a non-partisan associations committed to promoting the interests and wellbeing of Nigerians across Canada. As a decentralized body, NCA connects Nigerian community associations in all 10 provinces and 3 territories, supporting local initiatives while fostering national unity.
At the core of our structure is the Nigerian Canadian Association Council of Presidents (NCACP); a collective leadership platform that brings together Presidents of Nigeria Associations to coordinate efforts, share best practices, and advocate with one unified voice. Nigerian Canadian Associations Council of Presidents NCACP is a Non-Profit organization. The official national umbrella body representing the collective interests of Nigerian communities across Canada. Established as a distinguished and unified institutional voice of Nigerian Canadian Associations from coast to coast.
Founded on the principles of collaboration, advocacy, and service, NCACP brings together Presidents and leaders of recognized Nigerian Canadian Associations across provinces and territories to form a cohesive and powerful network. Through this united front, we amplify our collective voices, strengthen collaboration, ensure our needs and concerns are strategically addressed at all levels of government and society, and create pathways for meaningful engagement, inclusion, and impact.
For years, the Council operated informally, providing background support and leadership to Nigerian organizations nationwide. In 2024, recognizing the need for formal representation and a stronger legal standing, NCACP was officially incorporated. This marked a historic milestone, positioning the Council as the authoritative voice of Nigerians in Canada and enabling it to engage meaningfully with government bodies, institutions, and stakeholders on issues affecting our communities.
